About Us

Te Puke Gymsport is a registered charity (not-for-profit organisation). We employ qualified, professional, (police checked) coaches and managed by a team of volunteer committee members.

We started in 1954, 50% of our members come from the Tauranga City Council area, 48% from the Western Bay area, 1% from Whakatane and 1% from Rotorua.

We run GNZ (Gymnastics New Zealand) programmes, as well as other non-affiliated gymsport programmes. Our activities include:

  • Pre-School Children
  • Recreational Classes for ages 5 – 13 years
  • Parkour for ages 5 – 13 years
  • Tumbling
  • Trampoline
  • Adults/Teens Class (all ages & abilities)
  • Competitive Programmes for all genders
  • Children with Disabilities or Special Needs

Our coaches are professionally trained and accredited through the education pathway of our National Body Gymnastics New Zealand.
